I never really understood that line.
I mean... I get it.
Friends in low places who can do you favors, score you deals, and take care of all your dastardly deeds.
Makes sense.
But... why do your friends have to be in low places to be able to provide you with all of that?
I mean, I don't know about you, but I've got some pretty rocking friends in not so low places who still do me favors, score me deals, and... well, let's not talk about the dastardly deeds (in an effort to protect the not-so-innocent), beyond simply stating - they get done.
I, in turn, am the same kind of friend to my friends.
And while it could be argued that I am one of those friends in low places (single, childless, infertile, saddled by debt - ouch!), at least in my circle of friends (fabulous, successful, brilliant women who seem to get through life without nearly the same amount of baggage I seem to like to carry), I don't think I've stooped that far... yet.
The point is though, I've got friends.
And those friends... well they have talents.
And gifts. And specialties. And wonderful abilities that make them just that much more amazing.
