All About The Love...

I have never had a Valentine.

That’s right. I am a 27 year old woman who has never spent Valentine’s Day with someone she has been even remotely interested in.

When you factor in my “issues” and a long standing history of commitment-phobia though – suddenly that makes a lot of sense. Valentine’s Day is a lot of pressure for someone who lives in fear of happily ever after!

I’d like to think that in the last few years, I’ve made great strides in eradicating my commitment-phobic ways. Yet here I still sit. On Valentine’s Day. With no one to call my own.

And with someone definitely still sitting in the background. Tugging at my heartstrings and unwilling to leave my head.

Fret not dear readers – I’m not sinking into the abyss over this fact. I have never been one of those bitter single girls who loathes V-Day, and that is one thing that still has not changed. I love LOVE! I love the love that is in my life (even though it is not of the romantic nature) and I love witnessing love in the lives of those I care about.

I’m secretly a bit of a romantic sap – but don’t tell anyone!

I plan on spending tonight healing up and dreaming about my happily ever after – the one I’m no longer nearly as of afraid of embracing. The one that will hopefully find it's way to me soon.

And I trust that most of you are surrounded with the love you desire as well. Be it the romantic variation, or the love of your friends and family.

I wish you all butterflies today lovies!

And a very happy Valentine’s Day as well.

Because man or no man – we all have love there for the taking!
