I’m feeling pretty excited. Pretty pumped. Pretty ready for something new.
And pretty enthused that some of you are down to join in!
After the positive responses to my idea yesterday, I figured we should just give it a good trial run this weekend. I know it’s a holiday weekend and that not everyone will be able to participate, but I’m getting the feeling that a smaller group will be better this first time around anyway. Time to dip our feet in the water and see how we all feel about the format!
So, I’m thinking Sunday afternoon at 4pm Alaska time. I’m going to say that most of you are on your own for figuring out what time that is where you’re at (there have to be apps for that conversion, right?!?), but I think that you east coasters are 4 hours ahead of me, you west coasters are 1 hour ahead, and everyone in the middle is somewhere in between. I could be totally off with that though, so please look it up for yourselves if you’re unsure!
For those of us navigating IF, I hope to see you there. Hop over to the community at that time on Sunday, and I will have the live chat up and running for at least an hour. I’ll title it “Infertility Live Chat: Week One”, and we’ll go from there. Think of it as a chance to connect live with other women struggling with the same issues you're going through. All women are welcome – no matter what stage of IF you’re at. We can all always use some of those success stories as well. Really though - it's a place to lean on each other; to answer questions for those who have been there, and to seek out support for those who are just starting out. We all know that this process can be daunting; having women to lean on who you know understand can make all the difference in the world.
I’m thinking that in general weekends are going to be best, because the time difference won’t mean the difference between some people just getting off work while others are gearing up to go to bed. But if Sundays won’t ever work for you, don’t hesitate to let me know and we can play with the times and dates in the future.
I think that should be it. I really look forward to seeing some of you there and hearing your stories.
It would be cool if I didn’t spend the hour talking to myself! ;)
